The Downstream Sea Port Company and the PTSC Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company (PTSC M&C) on June 27, held a sail-away ceremony to launch, transport and install the Hai Thach central processing platform. The platform is part of the Bien Dong 1 project invested by the Bien Dong Petroleum Operations Company (Bien Dong POC).

The Bien Dong 1 project is the largest offshore petroleum project, implemented by Vietnamese contractors, with a total installation workload of 60,000 tonnes.

The central processing platform at 14,000 tonnes is the biggest ever of its kind in Viet Nam to date, using the latest technology. In the past, this kind of platform was only manufactured in foreign countries.

The central processing platform was installed and operated in the minining area of 133m in depth/.
