Saigontourist will build a luxury resort at Ban Gioc Waterfall in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, of the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang.

The plan to invest in the tourist resort was released by Saigontourist during a meeting between the travel company and the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee on April 13.

Cao Bang province has great potential for tourism development. This is the home of eight ethnic groups, with 95% of the population being ethnic minorities. This diverse culture has attracted many tourists.

Moreover, the province has many important historical and cultural relics, from King Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong to the modern period such as Pac Bo, where Uncle Ho lived and worked during the years when he had just returned to the fatherland to lead the revolution; Tran Hung Dao forest, where the Viet Nam People’s Army was established; and many landscapes such as Thang Hen Lake, Pha Den Biosphere Reservation Zone, Ban Gioc Waterfall and Nguom Ngao Cave.

Especially, Ban Gioc Waterfall has a grand and poetic beauty famous all around the country. However, the tourist area has not had a resort to serve tourists.

The General Director of Saigontourist, Tran Hung Viet, said that the Company had had much experience in developing neglected landmarks into renowned tourist sites and he ensured that the project should be successful.

The construction and development of Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism area is significant for Cao Bang province. In addition to help economic development and job generation for local people, it also contributes to stability and maintaining security and defense at the frontier region.
