As reported, from May 2-12, at the invitation of the Navy Army, Quang Ninh provincial delegation led by Mr. Do Vu Chung - Head of the People Mobilization Committee under Quang Ninh Provincial Party paid a visit to Truong Sa island district (Khanh Hoa province).

The delegation visited 10 islets and hidden sandbars of Truong Sa island, including Da Nam, Song Tu Tay, Co Lin, Nam Yet, Da Dong A, Da Dong C, Da Tay, Sinh Ton, Truong Sa, Da Lat and two platforms DK1/8 and DK1/19 on the continental shelf of Viet Nam.

At these locations, the delegation has encouraged and given presents to the officials and soldiers, who are living and undertaking their tasks on the island as well as households on the Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton islets of the Truong Sa island. Additionally, the Provincial Veteran Affairs donated VND 400 million to the “For the Beloved Truong Sa” Fund.

During the visit, the delegation also joined in some activities, including participating in the inauguration ceremony of Tran Hung Dao monument on the Song Tu Tay islet; visiting Uncle Ho Memorial House and offering incense at the Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial on Truong Sa island, commemorating revolutionary martyrs in Truong Sa archipelago and the platform DK1, etc.

On May 12, the delegation returned to Cat Lai port, Ho Chi Minh city, finishing a nice working visit to Truong Sa island district and the platforms on the continental shelf of Viet Nam.
