Remark by Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman on May 15, 2012

In response to the question from the media concerning Viet Nam’s reaction to the announcement by China Fishery Administration Bureau on the “fishing ban” in the East Sea from May 16 through August 1, 2012, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Luong Thanh Nghi states:

“Viet Nam’s position on this issue was clearly expressed in the January 20th remark by Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman.

Viet Nam opposes this unilateral decision by China and views it as an invalid one.”
