Sea, island and border demarcation in focus

A conference focusing on foreign information service and the dissemination of information on sea, islands, border demarcation and planting opened in Ha Noi on Nov. 29. The event was organised by the Communist Party of Viet Nam’s Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education. Deputy Director of the Commission attended and chaired the conference.

Representatives from the Commission for Popularisation and Education, the Foreign Ministry, the High Command of Navy, the High Command of Border Guard, and the Ministry of Information and Communications of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment attended the conference and presented their reports. Also participating in the event were representatives from Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the National Committee for Search and Rescue, and departments, sectors and press agencies from 33 cities and provinces in the northern region.

 

The conference updated information relating to foreign information service and dissemination of information on sea, island and border demarcation and planting, as well as exchanged experience on information provision in localities and improving the quality of information in the current situation.

Participants heard reports on experiences of sectors and localities on works of foreign information service and dissemination of information on sea, island and border demarcation, in order to improve skills of dissemination on mass media and orally, as well as accelerate State management of foreign information service and reject wrong information and distortions by hostile forces against Viet Nam.

The conference was scheduled to take place on 29 - 30 November./.
