So far, border demarcation and marker planting teams of the two countries have identified 231 positions and completed the construction of 265 markers along the Viet Nam-Cambodia borderline. Kon Tum and Binh Phuoc provinces have completed 100 percent of their border markers.
“Forces engaging in border marker planting need to closely coordinate to accelerate border demarcation and marker planting along the entire borderline and make every effort to popularise and explain to citizens living in border areas to help them clearly understand the policies of the two Governments. We will try to fulfill the task by 2012,” said Lieut. Gen Tran Hoa./.
